Annual Mini Session Expectations & Policies
Mini sessions are designed to be short, efficient, and fun while still delivering the high-quality imagery you expect from our brand. Because of their limited time and special pricing, the following expectations apply to all mini sessions.

Mini sessions are meant to be simple, efficient, and joyful and for those looking for a more affordable session.
If you’re looking for a slower pace, custom planning, extreme attention to detail, extended coverage, or plan to use your images for something particularly important, a full session is a better fit!
Full Sessions: Ask us about our hourly sessions for those perfectionists who want to slow it down and get everything just right.
Session Length & Timing
Mini sessions are 15-25 minutes in length (unless otherwise stated).
Please arrive 5–10 minutes early to allow time for parking and preparation.
Sessions begin and end promptly at the scheduled time.
Late arrivals will receive the remaining time only and sessions cannot be extended.
Image Quantity & Selection
Each mini session includes 40–60 professionally edited images.
Images are briefly curated by the photographer, selecting the strongest images from each set.
Only test shots, blank frames, or out-of-focus images are removed.
Mini sessions are delivered in bulk, rather than through a proofing and purchasing process.
This model reflects the fast-paced, digital nature of modern photography and allows for a more streamlined experience for everyone involved.
Editing & Style
Images are edited in our signature style.
Basic edits include color correction, exposure balancing, and light retouching.
Minimal skin smoothing may be applied using AI when appropriate.
Extensive retouching (hair removal, object removal, body reshaping, etc.) is not included.
Editing style is not customizable for mini sessions.
Mini sessions are best described as quick, not perfect — perfectly imperfect, with an emphasis on candid, in-the-moment imagery.
Participants
Mini sessions are limited to up to 7 people, or immediate family only unless otherwise stated.
Please do not bring additional family members or pets unless explicitly approved in advance. This can catch up off guard and make us work under pressure.
Sessions are fast-paced and best suited for clients who are ready to participate promptly.
Wardrobe & Preparation
Outfit coordination is the responsibility of the client.
Please arrive fully dressed and camera-ready.
Clothing changes are not permitted during mini sessions.
Simple, neutral, or coordinated outfits photograph best.
Children & Cooperation
We understand children are unpredictable.
Due to time constraints, specific expressions or poses cannot be guaranteed.
Our goal is to capture natural, authentic moments within the allotted time.
Delivery Timeline
Final galleries will be delivered within 2 weeks of the session date.
Images are delivered via an online gallery.
Turnaround times may be slightly longer during peak seasons; however, non time-sensitive sessions typically average a 2-week delivery.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
Mini sessions are non-refundable, unless weather conditions or photographer availability prevent the session from taking place.
If you are unable to attend for any reason, deposits are not returned.
Rescheduling is not guaranteed and is dependent on availability.
If JWP is unable to fulfill or reschedule the session, a refund will be issued.
Weather-related reschedules will be communicated directly by the photographer.
Communication
By booking a mini session, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these expectations.
Mini sessions are not eligible for extended revisions or additional coverage.

Text communication is reserved for the day of the session only in the following situations:
You are lost
You have arrived for your session
You will be late
You need to cancel
